As the earliest private gallery in China, Red Gate Gallery has nurtured many young artists over  30 years of exhibitions, through its international Artist-in-Residence Program and the SURGE Art Project, encouraging the creativity of a younger generations of artists.

On December 18,  Red Gate will stage OPEN, an exhibition focusing on young artists aged between 5 and 13. Nearly 90 works will be presented reflecting the children's perception  of their "world”. As independentand unique individuals, they are exploring a rich artistic palette-thinking, imagining, and expressing.

OPEN suggests the meaning of release. The child's mind is a free, unique and rich universe, releasing countless surprises when they have freedom to explore. The children also OPEN  their hearts, absorbing the essence of different cultures, facing the world, the future, and exploring the unknown. 

Art is OPEN to everyone, and these children, through their art, OPEN  their hearts and minds to you!
