Wang Yigang graduated from Lu Xun Academy of the Fine Arts and is currently an associate professor at Shenyang College of Education. He cites Pollock and Hoffman as being major influences. The show was Wang’s second solo exhibition in Beijing; several of his paintings were also selected for the “1994 Annual Exhibition of Works Nominated by Art Critics”.
