Zhou Jirong was born in 1962 in Guizhou Province. In 1987, he graduated from the Printmaking Department of the Central Institute of Fine Arts, where he is now a lecturer. His works have attracted critical acclaim in domestic and international exhibitions and have been awarded many prizes.
In 1993 he held his first solo exhibition at the Gallery of the Institute of Fine Arts, Beijing.
