Guan Wei was born in Beijing in 1957 and graduated from the Fine Arts Department of Beijing Teachers Institute in 1986. In 1989 he became the artist-in-residence at the Centre for the Arts, University of Tasmania and since then has exhibited widely in Australia, Hong Kong, and London. This is Guan Wei’s first exhibition in China after living in Australia for seven years.
