关于导演/About the Director

Alisa Yang is an antidisciplinary artist and filmmaker. She received her BFA from Art Center of Design in 2009 and MFA at University of Michigan in 2016. Her practice is rooted in collage across medium; from two-dimensional works to video installations, her work explores themes of language, cultural identity, memory, and sexuality. She has exhibited at Riverside Art Museum, Orange County Center of Contemporary Arts, and New Mexico Museum of Art with reviews in LA Times, Hyperallergic, and Huffington Post. Her inaugural films, PLEASE COME AGAIN has won the Los Angeles Asian Pacific Film Festival Golden Reel Award for Short Documentary, and SLEEPING WITH THE DEVIL has won the Best Regional Filmmaker award at Ann Arbor Film Festival.

剧情简介 Synopsis

In September 2011, after graduating from a cinema school, Ivo Aichenbaum decided to come back to his home town of Rio Gallegos. The day before his departure, he learned that a friend of him committed suicide. The movie is about this missed comeback journey, and it is also a tribute to his lost friend and hometown.

关于导演/About the Director  

Ivo Aichenbaum (Bs. As 1985) studied Cinema at the University of Buenos Aires (UBA). He received several scholarships related to visual arts and participated in the Cinema Lab and Artist Program of the University Torcuato Di Tella. Since 2010 he shows video works, photographs and installations in galleries, self-managed cultural spaces and museums. His films La parte automática and Cabeza de ratón were released in editions of BAFICI 12th and 13th within the jurisdiction Cinema of the Future and the Panorama section respectively. In 2014 he received the first special Jury Award for Micehead in 10th Festifreak of La Plata, and along with photographer Soledad Manrique, co-directed his third feature Formosa. Currently, he teaches documentary, contemporary art and Cinema Essay workshops in the Buenos Aires National Library, Club Cultural Matienzo and Centro Cultural Leon-Leon. He is also the director of URSA studio, a film prducton company.
